Joseph W. Donato, Sr.

Joseph W. Donato died at his son's home in Maryland on June 30, 2018.  His life will be celebrated at a Mass at Corpus Christi Church in Round Lake, NY, at 9 am on July 23, 2018. 

Joseph was born in Coatesville, Pennsylvania,  on December 15, 1926.  He was a veteran who served in the Army during World War II.  He received a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University and enjoyed a long career with General Electric Co.  He married Mary Eileen Sweeney in 1951, and they had seven children.  Joe was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.  He enjoyed golfing, bridge, and coaching basketball.  He was an active member of his church. 

Joseph is survived by his sister, Sister Mary Donato; his children, Michele Vecchione, Geralyn Brennan, Lisa Minotti, Marie Trombetta, Mary Pennant, Joseph Donato, Jr., and Kathryn Laverdiere; his 16 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
