Melvin Ervin Tumlin

Bowie:  Melvin Ervin Tumlin age 83, died Thursday May 24, 2018, at Walter Reed Medical Center in Maryland.  He was a former graduate of Oxford University in London, England and Bowie State University in Bowie, Maryland. Mr. Tumlin is survived by his wife Shirley Tumlin, one older sister Thelma, one sister-in-law, three brothers-in-law and many many nieces, nephews and friends. Mr. Melvin Tumlin was a retired veteran of the Vietnam War, where he served as Air Traffic Controller.  He was the owner of many Sunoco Gas Stations including the one on route one in Laurel, and New York Avenue in Washington D.C.
