Kenneth Erwin Jacobson (78)Was born on February 27, 1938 in Seattle, WA, the son of Esther and "Bud" Jacobson. He is survived by two sons, Jeff Jacobson of Bowie, MD, and Steven Jacobson of Owasso, OK; and 11 grandchildren, Madeline, Samuel, Aaron, Elaina, Elizabeth, Caleb, Julianna, Isaac, Sarah, Nathaniel, and Zachary. He was preceded in death by his wife Corliss Wright Jacobson and his sister Jeanette Bedingfield.After graduating from Lincoln High School in Seattle, Class of '58, he joined the Coast Guard to stay near his fiance and was then stationed on Nantucket Island, Massachusetts. He marred Corliss after completing his schooling and they started their life together on February 1, 1958. Ken worked for Control Data Corporation for most of his career, first as a computer technician and then as a Manager. CDC provided the opportunity to move about the country and they eventually settle down in Aurora, CO where his sons would grow up.For the final stage of his career they moved to Omaha, Nebraska, where they lived for over 20 years. In his final years, Ken lived with Steven in Owasso, OK and recently with Jeff in Bowie.Ken and Corliss loved to travel and they visited the UK, Australia, Sweden, Norway, and visited their sons in Alaska, Taiwan, and El Salvador.Services were held at 12:30pm Sunday, January 1, 2017 at All Saints Lutheran Church in Bowie.
