Thomas William Dennison

On Saturday, October 22, 2016, of Bowie, MD. Beloved husband of the late Donna M. Dennison (nee Kramer); loving father of William K. Dennison; dear brother of Frances Dennison and Mr. and Mrs. John L. Dennison.  Grandfather of Ryan William and Adam Paul Dennison. Thomas "Tom"   Dennison was born on June 4, 1939 in Nashville, Tennessee.  He graduated from  Vanderbilt University in 1961 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.   He joined the Navy in 1962 and obtained the rank of Commander before retiring from the Navy Reserves in the 1980's.  While in the Reserves he obtained his Masters degree in Nuclear Engineering from Case Institute and his JD from the University of Baltimore Law School.  He worked at Westinghouse and Goddard Space flight center, the latter working on the Orbiting Astronomical Observatory project team.  He loved traveling the world with his family, bargain hunting at outlet malls, and taking care of his pet cats Kujo and Pip. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 from 11am to 12pm at the family-owned BEALL FUNERAL HOME, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rte. 3 South), Bowie, MD, with a funeral service at 12:00pm. Interment, Arlington National Cemetery, at a later date.
