On Thursday, July 16, 2015 of Odenton, MD. Beloved husband of Nancy L. Abernethy; father of Melonie Abernethy, Kimberly Photinakis (George), Jeffrey Koenig (Jennifer), Samantha Robertson (Bret) and Jason Koenig (Donna); brother of Jeanne Hobbs. Also survived by 10 grandchildren. Family will receive friends on Sunday, July 19, 2015 from 3 to 5 p.m. and on Monday, July 20, 2015 from 9:30 until funeral service at 10:30 a.m. at the family-owned BEALL FUNERAL HOME, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rte. 3 South), Bowie, MD. Interment private. If desired, contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation , Finance Department, 30 East 33rd St., New York, NY 10016
