Claudia Lee Volz

On Tuesday, February 17, 2009, Claudia Lee Volz, 63, a 5 year resident of Bowie, MD passed away at Doctors Community Hospital in Lanham, MD. She was born on September 8, 1945 in Jacksonville, FL to Ross and Arline Elliott. A graduate of Bladensburg High School, she worked for 30 years as a Management Analyst for the USDA. She enjoyed knitting and reading. She was predeceased by her husband John Scott Volz. Survivors include her daughters Deborah Penot (Joseph) of Beltsville, MD, Diane Randle (Michael) of Shreveport, LA and Lisa Scott (Stephen) of Bowie, MD; and 5 grandchildren Raymond, Shelby, Kyle, Zachary and Tyler.Family will receive friends at the family owned BEALL FUNERAL HOME, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rte. 3 South), Bowie, MD on Sunday, February 22, 2009 from 6:00-8:00pm. A funeral service will be held at All Saints Lutheran Church, 16510 Mount Oak Rd., Bowie, MD on Monday, February 23, 2009 at 11:00am. Interment George Washington Cemetery, Adelphi, MD.
