Barbara B. Dowell

On Saturday, March 21, 2009, Barbara B. Dowell, 81, of Baltimore County, formerly of Solomons Island, MD passed at Gilchrist Hospice Care in Towson, MD. She was born July 30, 1927 in Massachusetts to Thomas and Helen Bowers.In 1945, she graduated from Catonsville High School in Catonsville, MD. Later, she worked as a Bookkeeper for an auto dealership. Her husband, Fulton Dowell, preceded her in death.She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Dowell Hurd and her husband Jay, of Cockeysville, MD; a brother Richard Wight Bowers and his wife, Kay; and 2 grandchildren, Heather and Dylan.A Memorial Service was celebrated at Timonium United Methodist Church in Timonium, MD on Saturday, March 28, 2009.
