Agnes P. Crossley

July 17, 1935 — April 14, 2025

Davidsonville, MD

Agnes Pauline Crossley, 89, passed away peacefully at home on April 14, 2025. She was born on July 17, 1935, to Ada and Raymond Page in Bethel, NC. After graduating from Stokes High School, she married Lewis Crossley, an airman in the United States Air Force. Together, they raised two children, Kelly and Lisa.

As a proud military wife, Agnes lived in many memorable places throughout her early adult life, including Delaware, Mississippi, Oregon, North Carolina, and Japan. In 1970, following Lewis’s retirement from the Air Force, he accepted a position with the U.S. Census Bureau. After a brief assignment in Canada, the family settled in Davidsonville, MD, where they have lived for over 50 years.

Agnes devoted her life to her ever-growing family. Her many talents—decorating, cooking, and attention to detail—showed at the countless gatherings she hosted. She loved attending local arts and crafts fairs, vacationing with her children and grandchildren, and collecting all things rooster-themed, a quirky passion often encouraged by her late daughter, Lisa.

Agnes is survived by her devoted husband of 67 years, Lewis; her son, Kelly; daughter-in-law, Linda; son-in-law, Max III; seven grandchildren: Travis, Anthony, Carolina, Kevin, Cierra, Starr, and Max IV; two granddaughters-in-law, Megan and Jeanette; one grandson-in-law, Jaxson; and four great-grandchildren: Alyssa, Brianna, McKenzie, and Max V, affectionately known as “Wells.”

The family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. Nancy Rivera, NP Katarina Marinzel from Gilchrist Palliative Care, RN Amy McKenna from Johns Hopkins, Anne Arundel Medical Center, Partners in Care Transportation, and the compassionate caregivers from CareProvide.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025, at Davidsonville United Methodist Church, 819 W. Central Avenue, Davidsonville, MD. The viewing will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by a service at 11:00 AM, and interment at Lakemont Memorial Park, 900 W. Central Avenue, Davidsonville, MD 21035.

After the service, all are invited to join the family for a catered lunch at the church.
