Alfonzo Brown Jr. entered into his heavenly home on Wednesday, April 22nd 2026. He was born May 29th 1955, in Wheeling, West Virginia to the late Alfonzo Brown Sr. and Odella Lee Brown. He was the second of five children. Alfonzo was seventy years old. Alfonzo attended Triadelphia High School in Wheeling, West Virginia where he later received is GED. He spent his childhood through early thirties in Wheeling, West Virginia where he worked in the Wheeling Camp Coal Mines before their closing. He later relocated to Hyattsville, Maryland to gain employment near his cousin James Edward Lee, where he worked construction for twenty five years. He later retired from Clark Construction Company. Alfonzo's favorite activities included taking long walks, playing baseball and fishing in his spare time. He was a pleasure to be around and his presence was always known with a beautiful smile and witty humor. Alfonzo's affectionate, personality and selflessness allowed people to grow to love and admire him, leaving a legacy of laughter, peacefulness, love and a lifetime of memories with his loved ones. Alfonzo was preceded in death by his daughter Kartika S. Brown, cousin James Edward Lee, niece Kelly F. Brown and the longtime love of his life, Norma J. Smith. He also cherished the memories of all the friends he gained along the way. Alfonzo is survived by four siblings, Dolores J. Brown, Marsha D. Dalton, Dwain L. Brown and Diane M. Brown. He is also survived by his niece, Shakura S Brown, nephew, Edward E. Smith III, and brother in law, Frederick Dalton, along with a host of extended family.
