Alicia Dawn Spriggs was born on February 3, 1976 in Bristol, TN to Joniver B. Spriggs and Delores Spriggs. On June 7, 2026, Alicia peacefully departed this life, surrounded by the love of family and friends.
She was a proud Mom, daughter, sister, grandmother and friend; and a woman who believed in laughter, camaraderie, and family. Alicia was blessed to spend 15 wonderful years with her beloved companion, Herbert Mason, who remained by her side through life's journey. She left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Alicia leaves behind a loving family to cherish her memory: her loving Parents Delores Spriggs (Darrell Cheeves stepfather deceased) Joniver B Spriggs (Lisa Spriggs stepmother); her life partner Herbert Mason; her children Shatera, Terrence, Terrell and James, Lundon and Kannisha (step daughters); her siblings Angela McGraw, Cherie McKinney, Lanier and Celeste Spriggs; her Grandchildren Conscious, Zyaire and Za’ Mari, extended grandchildren Skyler, Robert, Destiny and Zara along with a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were enriched by her love and presence.
Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be dearly missed, but her legacy of love, laughter, and 'life of the party' will continue to uplift those who had the privilege of knowing her. Alicia had a larger-than-life personality and truly enjoyed life. She loved NFL Football, fishing, entertaining and spending time with family and friends. Her jokes and infectious sense of humor brought smiles and laughter wherever she went. She created memories that her family and loved ones will cherish forever.
To honor Alicia's life, a memorial service will be held at the Marlboro Moose Lodge 15103 Marlboro Pike Upper Marlboro, MD 20772, Monday June 29th, 2026 at 1:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to gather for Memorial and Celebration of life.In this time of sorrow, we invite everyone to come together to celebrate Alicia's life and the impact she had on those around her.
Although she may no longer be with us, her memory will live on in our hearts. Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we celebrate a life well lived and a legacy that will continue through the many lives she touched. Her love, laughter, and strength will remain with us always, and her memory will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration.Forever Loved, Forever Remembered, Forever Missed.
