Allen “Scott” Crawford died on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 in Easton, Maryland.
Scott was adopted by Dorothy Glynn (Hazzard) Crawford and Arthur Glen Crawford at birth on December 25, 1961 in Cook County, Illinois.
He graduated from Arundel High School in Gambrills Maryland in 1980, where he loved taking candid photographs for the school’s publications and year books.
Throughout his life he had many businesses and was always seeking to turn his passions into a career. He took college courses in computer networking and worked as a contractor in the field for many years.
He loved riding bikes through the trails around MD. In the 90’s he owned and operated a bikeshop in Waldorf, Maryland, which he later moved to Crofton, Maryland. He hosted several GT BMX Air Shows, where riders would perform stunts in the parking lot, like jumping over his many children.
He was always an active part of his children’s lives. When his oldest sons wanted to play baseball, he teamed up with his father in law, Vail Clemence, to coach their team. When they joined the Civil Air Patrol, so did he. In 2005, he and his children moved to Easton, Maryland where he stayed home to take care of his youngest.
He was preceded in death by his Mother Dorothy, Father Art, Grandmother Evnia “Gammy”, Aunt Maryrose Hazzard, and Aunt Grace Hazzard.
Survived by his Sister Cheryl Jean “C.J.” Crawford as well as his seven children and seven grandchildren:
Rachel D. Archer and her four children: Auralynn, Isabella, Edwin, and Vail,
Mark A. Crawford,
Paul G. Crawford, wife Mariah, and kids Richard and Abigail,
Glynn Koogle and Husband Robert,
Douglas S. Crawford, wife Avery, and daughter Violet,
Gregory T. Crawford,
and Thomas G. Crawford.
