Anna Gerasimidis

Anna Gerasimidis of Silver Spring, MD passed away peacefully on May 9, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Aristidis Gerasimidis, her parents, Dimitrios and Vasiliki Tsiambouris.

Anna is survived by her children Dimitra (Kevin Reidy), Angeliki (Josue Aguiliz), her sister Katerina, and her nephews Panagiotis and Christos. She was the proud grandmother of 2 grandsons, Alexander and Elias.

Anna enjoyed serving others, especially after spending time at the National Institute of Health (NIH) for her breast cancer treatment. She worked for their Nutrition department, serving patients their meals and catching up with them. She also volunteered for The Children's Inn at NIH, a non-profit that provides residence to families of children with rare diseases participating in NIH research clinical studies. Although their stays did not always end well,  Anna felt happy  that she could help with the little things from grabbing an extra blanket, a snack or setting up games for the kids. There was no task too small for her.

Anna also enjoyed spending time with her Orthodox Christian community, praying,  taking trips with her sister, going on walks, and learning about the latest health trends.

She was very loved and will be missed by many.

There will be a viewing at St. Demetrios Church on Friday, May 19, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM. The church service will begin at 10:30 AM.
