In Loving Memory of Annmarie Alleyne

Sunrise: December 3, 1952 – Sunset: July 3, 2025

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Annmarie Alleyne, who transitioned peacefully at home on the evening of Wednesday, July 3, 2025, at 10:30 PM, surrounded by the love and presence of her daughters and cherished grandchildren. She was 72 years old.

Annmarie was born on December 3, 1952, in Sangre Grande, Trinidad and Tobago, to her loving parents, the late Alma Nicholas and Aubrey Durant. Raised with strong values of compassion, resilience, and faith, Annmarie carried these qualities with her throughout her life and shared them generously with all who had the blessing of knowing her.

Professionally, Annmarie served as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) — a calling that perfectly reflected her heart for caregiving. Her gentle spirit and unwavering compassion left a lasting impression on all those in her care.

She was a devoted mother to five children: Ryan, Lincoln, Lisa, Wendy, and Annalisa. Her proudest joy was her growing family, which includes her beloved grandchildren:

Adrian, Akeem, Kimberley, Kareem, Ashley, James, Jacqueline, Nicolette, Daniel, Aaron, Sarah, Lucas, Leeza, Leeia, and Amara,

and her adored great-grandchildren:

Kimora, Aidan, Kaylynn, Amani, Amelia, and Amari.

Annmarie was a cherished sister to Peter, Winston, Lydia, Monthso, and Carol, and a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews:

Latisha, Stephon, Shonari, and Zakiya, and her late nephew Imhotep, whom she loved deeply and whose memory she carried with her.

She also leaves behind her beloved sister-in-law Morena, her loyal and dear friend Carolyn, her supportive daughters-in-law Leonora and Kamala, and her caring son-in-law Lynglow, all of whom stood by her side with love and respect.

Annmarie’s life was deeply rooted in faith, family, and kindness. Known for her warmth, strength, and quiet humor, she created a sense of home and comfort for all who knew her. Even as she bravely battled leiomyosarcoma of the uterus, a rare and aggressive cancer, she faced it with unwavering grace, courage, and trust in God.

She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews, in-laws, extended family, and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alma Nicholas and Aubrey Durant, and her nephew Imhotep. She now rests apart from her estranged husband, Stephen Alleyne. Her legacy lives on in the lives she nurtured and the love she gave freely.

Her passing leaves a deep void, but her spirit will forever shine in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
