B. Tourѐ Breaker was born May 11, 1970, in Jacksonville, Florida, to Ronald and Barbara Breaker. As a military child, he traveled extensively with his family and often spoke fondly of his time growing up as a teenager living abroad. Tourѐ, as most of us know him, developed an innate sense of duty and enjoyed the adventures offered through military life so much that he made serving his country his lifelong career. After nearly 31 years of service in the United States Army, he retired as a Master Sergeant on August 1, 2019. After retirement, he continued his service in the US Army Reserve as a civilian Senior Logistics Specialist until his passing.
Tourѐ will always be remembered as a fun-loving guy with a huge smile and a heart of gold. He never missed an opportunity to share his wisdom, a laugh, or a great story, most involving his love for his family and good food. In fact, his skills on a grill or a smoker came second to none, and “Breaker Bacon” is a real thing! Moreover, Tourѐ was a straight shooter who never met a stranger, bringing levity and calm to the toughest situations with his peaceful and genuine spirit. Even on his hardest days, Tourѐ could be heard laughing and offering comfort to others.
Tourѐ leaves to cherish his memory his wife Tonya and their children, Sydnee Breaker (Atlanta, GA) and Brandon James (Moline, IL); his parents Ronald and Barbara Breaker of Jacksonville, FL; his siblings: twin sister, Imani Breaker of Jacksonville, FL, sister, Aimee Royster (Gary) of Navarre, FL, and brother, Daniel Breaker (Kate) of Brooklyn, NY; nephews Jordan Royster (Ft. Walton Beach, FL), Rory and August Breaker (Brooklyn, NY), niece Kyra (Navarre, FL), and three grandchildren, Anabelle, Kashe, and Maverick James (Moline, IL), his brothers of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated (especially those of G-ROCK), and a host of beloved relatives and friends.
