Barbara Gene Rossiter

 On Friday, February 16, Barbara G. Rossiter (nee Rinck) passed away at the age of 89.  Born in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of Henry and Genevieve Rinck; loving mother of Michael Rossiter (Linda), the late John D. Rossiter, and Lisa Clark; grandmother of Brett Rossiter, Brady Rossiter, Hannah Clark, Alex Clark and two great-grandsons. She also is survived by her brother, Larry Rinck (Sandy) and cousins Kenny Kaplan (Peggy) and Karen Schafer. 

          Barbara graduated in 1953 from Bladensburg High School, where she had many friends, was a good student and skilled majorette. She raised her family in Cheverly, MD, and was very proud of her 35 years as an Executive Secretary at Hecht’s/Macy’s.  She enjoyed time with family and friends and watching sports.  Her favorite activities were playing Bingo, slot machines, cards and Rummikub, eating crabs, Washington football games, bowling, and attending her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
