Bettie Mae Kreitzer

Bettie Mae Kreitzer, age 85, passed away on May 29, 2020 at her home with family by her side. She was born to Nellie and Tommy Klotz on July 31, 1934 in Maryland Park, MD. She lived most of her life in Maryland surrounded by her large family and the extended Kreitzer family. She was the 2nd oldest of 7 siblings.

A loving and devoted mother & grandmother first and foremost, she treasured her family and cherished every moment with them. She enjoyed quilting, working in her yard/garden and cooking for her family. She was a passionate reader, ice tea drinker and an active member of the Bowie Senior Center taking many different classes from Tai Chi to Italian.

She started working for the Belair National Bank (Citizens National Bank) in 1967, was promoted to Branch Manager in 1977 and made Assistant Vice President in 1988. After 31 years she retired in 1998. She was a beloved member of the Bowie community.

Preceded in death by her loving son Richard Kreitzer, Sr. and daughter Lori Lea Kreitzer.
She was the most beloved mother of Louis "Buddy" Kreitzer, Jr.; the cherished mother-in-law of Margie E. Kreitzer (Buddy) and Donna K. Kreitzer (Ricky).

Loving grandmother of Jennifer L. Kreitzer, Richard Kreitzer, Jr., Travis Kreitzer (Melanie), and Brandy L. Kreitzer. And soon to be a great grandmother (Travis & Melanie) for which she was immensely excited. She leaves many other family and friends who will miss her dearly.

Flowers may be sent to the Beall Funeral Home by Thursday evening or donations may be made in her honor to the First Lutheran Church of Bowie Cemetery Fund, Hospice of the Chesapeake, or any charity of your choice.
