Carl N. Cimino, Jr.

Carl Nicholas Cimino Jr., passed away July 2, 2025 after a lifetime of service and steadfast love. He was preceded in death by his parents Carl Nicholas Cimino Sr., and Janie Elizabeth Cimino. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Nancy Cimino; his daughters Theresa Ewing, Kathleen Cimino; his son-in-law Jack Ewing and his beloved grandson Logan; his sister Angela Valentine; his nephews Nicholas Valentine and Matthew Valentine. All of whom he loved deeply and proudly.

Carl was born in Richmond, VA, graduated from Manchester High School and the University of Maryland, College Park. A devoted husband, father, uncle, grandfather, friend and mentor, Carl spent over 50 years with the College Park Volunteer Fire Department, shaping not just its operations but the very people who walked through its doors. Throughout his life, Carl left fingerprints on countless lives and careers. Outside the firehouse, Carl served as an ER nurse where he cared for patients with the same steadiness and heart he brought to every role. A lifelong musician and lover of the blues, Carl filled every room with music and laughter, making even ordinary moments unforgettable.

His presence was mighty and his legacy, lasting. His rhythm will echo for years to come in the lives he touched.
