Carlita Maggie De Jesus, born on May 29, 1959, passed away on May 9, 2026 surrounded by the love of her family and friends. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and a cherished friend whose warmth and spirit touched everyone who knew her.

Maggie shared a beautiful life and marriage with her devoted husband and best friend, Richie De Jesus. Together they built a family filled with love, laughter, music, and lasting memories. She was the proud mother of her son, Carmelo (Carmine) Rivera Jr., whom she loved deeply and supported wholeheartedly throughout his life.

Nothing brought Maggie more joy than her grandchildren, Angelina and Carmelo (Lito) III. She treasured every moment spent with them and embraced her role as grandmother with endless love, affection, and pride.

Maggie also leaves behind her loving sisters, Iris Gandarilla and Nelsa Bartley, many cousins, nieces and nephews, who shared with her a lifetime of memories, love, and family bonds that will forever be treasured. She also leaves behind her daughter in law, Benita Rivera, who assisted Richi throughout Maggie's illness.

Maggie had a deep love for Puerto Rico, its culture, traditions, and especially its music. Salsa music filled her heart and home, and she could always be found enjoying the rhythm and spirit it brought to her life.

Carlita "Maggie" worked for over 35 years in the medical field as a phlebologist. Her love, passion, and dedication to her career made her a top notch employee loved by her coworkers. Her vibrant personality, caring nature, and joyful presence will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is now reunited in heaven with her beloved mother Carmen Rosa, her sister Lizzy, and her brothers Antonio and Willie, and her son Carmelo (Carmine) where their love will continue eternally.

Though she is gone from this world, Maggie’s love, laughter, and beautiful spirit will live on forever in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
