Carrie Delgrive Faison-Fryar

Carrie Delgrive Faison-Fryar, was born on March 18, 1952, in Clinton, North Carolina. She passed away after a brief illness Saturday, August 23, 2025, while in George Washington Hospital in Washington, DC. She: was the beloved daughter of Mr. Dancy Draughon Jr. and Ms. Annie Pearl Faison.

Her calling to care for others was evident early on, a passion that would define her life and career. She brought this nurturing spirit to Willow Marsh Manor Assisted Living Facility in Bowie, Maryland, where she dedicated over a decade of her life as an amazing care provider. The residents and staff at Willow Marsh Manor were like family to her, and she was cherished for her warm heart and unwavering dedication.

Carrie's life was a beautiful example of a life well-lived, and her dedication to caring for others was her enduring legacy. Her memory will be cherished by her surviving children, daughter Hershinna Patrice of Bowie, Maryland, and son Johnny Fryar of Durham, North Carolina. She is also survived by her siblings: Mertie Smith, Corenna Sanders, Deborah Draughon, Virginia Faison, Herbert A. Faison, Michael Draughon, and Dancy Draughon III.
