Catherine Anne Dorsch-Beller was born on November 11, 1944 and lost her courageous battle with ALS on April 5, 2025.
She grew up in the District of Columbia and attended grade schools at St Martins and St Anthony’s, and high school at Notre Dame Academy in the District. She worked at the Washington Hospital Center in the Radiology Department first as a technician and then as the Chief Radiology Technologist.
Catherine married James L. Beller (deceased in December 2, 2001) and joined him at their commercial glass business in Cheverly, Maryland. They lived in Greenbelt’s Windsor Green Community where Catherine was an active member and leader for over four decades, serving on the Board, Architectural Control Committee, Finance Committee and Landscaping Committee. On summer afternoons you would find Catherine enjoying a dip and fellowship with others at the HOA community pool. She was also a neighborhood watch captain for her block.
Catherine was a role model to her neighbors and their young children. She would bake cookies and prepare and Easter basket for them every year. She loved to garden and had the best kept yard and house on the block. She had a sense of humor enjoyed by all and a love of people and family. She was a strong woman who battled disease and hard time with her Catholic faith as her guide.
She leaves behind a loving sister, three brothers, two sisters-in-law, four nieces, one nephew, five great nieces and two great nephews. She will be greatly missed by both family and friends.
Catherines memorial service will be held on May 17th at St Ambrose Catholic Church, 3107 63rd St., Cheverly, MD. 20785.
