Catherine Henze Surlis passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022. Catherine died as she lived, surrounded by those who loved her. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Aidan; their three children Cathy (Chris Gress), Aidan (Mandy) & Tara (Tim Kelly); and ten grandchildren: Jack, Tom & Kate Gress; Ben, Penny & Sean Surlis; and Nora, Paul, Adele & Luke Kelly. Catherine was born on October 28, 1938 and raised in the Bronx, New York. She was the youngest of five children. Catherine and Aidan moved to Crofton in 1977 and have been members at Seton Parish since they moved here. Catherine radiated love and she had an engaging magnetism that drew people to her. Cooking and hosting gatherings were Catherine’s talent, her door was always open and one more was always welcome. Catherine’s greatest joy was her family, and they returned that love in abundance.
