Cheryl Ann Trader

December 18, 1962 — February 26, 2022

Cheryl Ann Trader (Davis), of Shady Side, Maryland, passed peacefully in her home on Saturday February 26, 2022, at the age of 59, after a long and hard-fought battle with Ovarian Cancer.

Cheryl is survived by her loving husband Mark Trader; her mother Martha Davis (Ainsworth); her siblings, Gary Davis, Harry Davis, and Sandra Davis; her children, Michael (Bree) Neal, Patrick Flannery Jr., Allen (Kiara) Flannery, Adam (Caitlin) Trader, and Emily Trader; her grandchildren EJ Flannery, Eli Flannery, Zander Flannery, and Logan Flannery; and nieces Tasha Brady and Amanda (Matthew) Fitch, and nephew Anthony Chester-Davis. She was predeceased by her father, Harry “Buck” Davis Jr.; and niece Stephanie Dirling.

Cheryl was born December 18, 1962, to Martha & Harry Davis. She graduated from Largo High School in Largo, Maryland and attended Anne Arundel Community College in Arnold, Maryland. She worked as Manager for The Maids, a professional cleaning service, for many years.

Cheryl was a devoted and loving wife/mother/grandmother/aunt who brightened many peoples lives. One of Cheryl’s most distinct and amazing characteristics was her contagious laugh, she always knew how to lighten the mood. Cheryl always loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who she often described as “the highlight of her life”. In her early adult years, Cheryl was a member of the Kentland Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed many hobbies, some of which, were crafting, NASCAR and being a season ticket holder with the Baltimore Ravens Football Team. Cheryl was a leader and set a great example for many of her family members, employees, and anyone she encountered. She will be dearly missed by all but will remain in our hears forever.

The viewings will be held Friday March 11, 2022, from 2-4 p.m. & 6-8 p.m. at Beall Funeral Home, 6512 Crain Hwy, Bowie, MD 20715. A funeral service will be held, Saturday March 12, 2022, at 11 a.m., with internment to follow at Fort Lincoln Cemetery.
