Cindy Tutwiler, 55, of Crofton, Maryland, passed away on January 7, 2021. Diagnosed with stage four lung cancer in 2013, Cindy faced a long and difficult battle, yet she proved that even in the face of incredible challenges, it was still possible to live life to the fullest.
Cindy was a devoted wife, an incredible mom, and a bright presence in the lives of everyone who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband, Tim Tutwiler; her daughters, Haley and Lexie; her father, Paul Gamble; and her sisters, Becky Anderson and Amy Messina. She was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Gamble.
Cindy was an accomplished realtor who truly loved what she did. She continued selling homes for as long as she physically could, showing her determination, strength, and commitment to helping others. Cindy often became friends with her clients and truly enjoyed keeping in touch with them long after the sale was done.
She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially when it involved watching sports. Cindy was a loyal fan of the Caps, Commanders, and Maryland Terrapins, and enjoyed every game shared with the people she loved, even if her team lost. Cindy also enjoyed the beach, the boat, and all things summer. She was happiest with a Miller Lite in her hand and her toes in the sand. No matter where Cindy was - a local bar, the beach, or even just at her house - she had a way of making everyone feel welcomed, comfortable, and truly cared for.
Cindy’s love, strength, and kindness live on through her daughters, who hope to one day be the kind of mothers she was to them. Her legacy is one of compassion, resilience, and love, and she will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
