                                                                                       June 14, 1983 – July 25, 2026

David J. Whitlow, of Berwyn Heights, Maryland, peacefully entered into eternal rest and was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at the age of 43.

Born on June 14, 1983, in Washington, D.C., David was the beloved son of James Whitlow and the late Nancy Whitlow.

David was a proud graduate of Parkdale High School, Class of 2004, where he was honored with the Principal’s Award in recognition of his perseverance, character, and achievements. Throughout his life, David demonstrated incredible determination and an inspiring spirit. He proudly participated in the Special Olympics wheelchair racing events, where he earned countless medals. His accomplishments reflected his resilience, competitive spirit, and unwavering commitment to always giving his best.

David had a heart full of love and a smile that could light up any room. He was known for his kind spirit, warm personality, and the joy and laughter he brought to everyone around him. Although he faced many challenges throughout his life, including living with a disability, David never allowed those obstacles to define him. He faced each day with remarkable strength, courage, and determination, inspiring everyone who knew him with his resilience and positive outlook.

David was a devoted sports fan and proudly cheered for the Washington Commanders, the Baltimore Orioles, the Washington Wizards and the Washington Capitals. He loved spending time with family playing UNO, Connect 4, and working on crossword puzzles. He also enjoyed bowling, one of his favorite pastimes.

Family meant everything to David. He treasured every moment spent with those he loved and had a special way of making everyone feel important. Every year he eagerly anticipated celebrating his birthday, and Christmas was his favorite holiday, bringing him so much excitement and happiness.

David leaves behind a family who will forever cherish his memory: his loving father, James; his brother, Kenneth (Leslie); his nephews, Kenneth Jr. and Damonte; his niece, Kayla; his cousins, Michael, Nelson, Angela, and Lisa; along with a host of great-cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will deeply miss his loving spirit.

While our hearts are broken by his passing, we find comfort in knowing David is now reunited with his beloved mother, Nancy, in the loving presence of the Lord. His beautiful smile, gentle heart, unwavering strength, and unconditional love will remain in our hearts forever
