Dennis Reid Gills

Dennis Reid Gills, age 70 died on 7/22/2022 in Annapolis MD (Anne Arundel Medical Center).

Dennis is survived by his beloved wife Sharon Gills; his sons, Dennis Gills Jr of Annapolis, MD and Steven Gills of Crofton MD; and his six grandchildren Reid, Olivia, Ashley, Emily, Michael and Hunter; his brother Douglas Gills (Peggy) of Naples, FL, and his sister Helen (Sparkle) Curry (Roger) Edgewater, MD; and his Uncle Charlie Gills of Blue Ridge, VA. Dennis has many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends he leaves behind. That he cared deeply for.

Dennis was born on June 28^th, 1952 in Washington DC, to parents of Reid A. Gills Jr. and Vivian N. Gills.

Dennis was a great family man and loving father and grandfather. He married Sharon (Haas) Gills in July 1^st, 1976 and the couple had two children together.

Dennis was a social, active man who was deeply involved in boating, fishing and his grandchildren for the majority of his life. He enjoyed his grand children’s sporting events, spending time on the farm and being on the water. His family and friends will always remember him as a kind person who never met a stranger.

A funeral is scheduled for Saturday August 6^th, 2022. Visitation at the funeral Home will be at 11:00a.m followed by a 12:00p.m Memorial service, the internment/graveside service at Lakemont Memorial Gardens. At 2:30 a reception and celebration of life at the Fleet Reserve Club in Annapolis, MD. All are welcome to attend. The family would like to thank everybody in advance.
