Doris L. Shegogue

Today we celebrate the beautiful life of Doris Shegogue from 4-6-1930 to 7-28-26 a devoted wife, a loving mother, a cherished grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother. At 96 years old, Doris lived a long, meaningful life, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and a family that will continue for generations. 

For more than six decades, Bowie,Maryland was her home. Since 1960, she built a life filled with love,friendship, and memories. She was the heart of the family, always offering kindness, encouragement, and a warm smile to her friends and family. While our hearts are heavy with sadness today,we are also grateful. Grateful for the 96 wonderful years she was given. For the memories she created,the wisdom she shared,and the love she poured into each of our lives. Though we will miss hearing her voice,seeing her smile ,and sharing time with her. We know that the love she gave will remain with us forever. As we say goodbye, we do so with both tears and gratitude. May we honor her by loving one another as she loved us - with patience, and an open heart. Though she is no longer with in body, her spirit lives on in the lives she touched and in the family she treasured so dearly Matthew 5:4 blessed are these who mourn, for they will be comforted. 

Rest in peace Nanny, your love is cherished and you will forever be remembered, forever missed and forever loved.
