Our beloved Eboni “Emmet” Javon Davis (he/him) was born on February 11, 2002, to Jamal and Tracy Davis in Richmond Virginia. Emmet graduated from Arundel High School, June 2020. He loved working as a nanny, he was a fantastic artist, was an excellent cook, and loved to bake. Emmet was a loving friend, daughter, and sister. He had an amazing spirit, loved to crochet, taking photos of people/places/things, enjoyed picking Zinnias every summer at a nearby field, Wildflowers brought him joy, he loved to read, and listen to murder mystery podcasts. Emmet was always equipped with a blanket and found peace in sitting in fields and being enfolded in nature. His room is overflowing with beautiful paintings, his handmade jewelry, clothes he crocheted, and he was a very creative and passionate person.
Emmet leaves behind loving parents, siblings’ Devonte Parker, Jamal Davis II, and Daizha “Daizy” Parker. Grandparents, Edward & Lisa Davis and Winston & Alisa Burse, aunts Latarsha Dixon, Mya Davis, Tiffany Howell, Lauren Davis, Latoya Thomas, her beloved dogs Mr. Noodles & Mason, along with a host of cousins and countless friends. Emmet insisted on playing board games with friends and gatherings were not complete without a flavored Moscow Mule, his favorite drink.
“Fairy tales are more than true: not because they tell us dragons exist, but they tell us that dragons can be beaten” You found your peace baby girl. You beat that dragon. We love you and will always see those beautiful brown eyes and hear that soft voice when we remember you.
