It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Edward G. Mascoll, on June 6, 2024 in Rockville, MD. Edward was a cherished son to his late parents, Gervase and Edna Mascoll and grew up in Cambridge, MA.
He attended Cambridge High and Latin School and continued his education at Lincoln University. Edward embarked on a remarkable career path starting at Raytheon Company and later excelling at Mutual of New York (MONY) where he achieved the milestone of becoming the first and only black manager to lead an agency within MONY.
Edward was an entrepreneur and his entrepreneurial spirit shone through as he established successful ventures including College Awareness Tours, Travel Associates, and Affordable Elegance Travel.
A pillar of his community, Edward actively engaged in various groups, including the Masons and the Guardsmen. He served as Vice President of 100 Black Men, Inc. in New York, leaving a lasting impact on those around him. Edward enjoyed skiing, bike riding and traveling.
Edward's love for travel took him to forty-eight (48) countries, enriching his life with diverse experiences and unforgettable memories. In his lifetime, Edward touched many lives with his warmth and wisdom.
He is predeceased by his brothers Roger Mascoll and Stephen Mascoll. He is survived by his daughters Michelle Frederick, Pamela Hall, Stephanie Adams, and Dawn Mascoll, Esq., as well as step-children Gilberto (“Tito”) Correa (Sara), Natasha Correa and Carlos Correa (Grachaun). He leaves behind his companion Mary Peters.
Edward's legacy lives on through his grandchildren Richard Frederick (Melissa), Mikos Adams, Nia Hall, Alia Hall, Kharlyn Correa, Chaun Correa, Adrian Correa, Jaiden Correa, Alyssa Correa, DeAndre Johnson, and Lincoln Butler, great-grandchildren Aria Frederick, Enviana Frederick, nephews Kevin Mascoll, and Keith Mascoll (Roxann), great-nephew Elliot Mascoll and a host of relatives and friends who will forever treasure his spirit, kindness, and dedication to bettering the world around him.
Edward Mascoll led a full and vibrant life, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his kindness, generosity, and spirit of service continue to inspire us all.
