Edwin E. Weber, Sr.

October 25, 1932 — April 22, 2022

Edwin Ernest Weber, Sr. (89) passed away on April 22, 2022 after enduring a lengthy illness with Parkinson’s Dementia. Edwin was born October 25, 1932, to Emil Maria Weber and Edith Machande Weber.  His friends and family knew him as Ed or Eddie.

Edwin was born and raised in Gambrills, Maryland and lived in Gambrills most of his life.  He lived in Odenton, MD before moving into Assisted Living.  He spent his final days in the care of Regency Park Assisted Living, along with the assistance of Chesapeake Hospice Care.

Edwin graduated from Annapolis High School in 1951.  He served in the United States Army and was Honorably Discharged on March 10, 1961.  He served in the Korean War.  He joined the Anne Arundel County Fire Department in 1967.  He served as a Firefighter (Engineman) at several Stations in Anne Arundel County, beginning with Station 7, Anne Arundel Volunteer Fire Department and he retired from Station 5, Waugh Chapel Fire Department, in 1992.  Edwin also performed home improvement and carpenter work during his days off from the Fire Department.

Besides working and spending time with his family, Edwin enjoyed coin and stamp collecting.  He also enjoyed reading about Classic Cars, specifically his beloved 1950 Ford Coupe.  He traveled to Hershey and Carlisle, PA numerous times to attend the car shows with his sons.  He also read National Geographic and Smithsonian Magazines.  His taste in music included classical, country, and easy listening.  He also enjoyed watching crime and war shows on television, as well as watching the History and Travel Channels.

He is survived by his wife, Myrtle Mae Weber and six children:  Edwin Weber, Jr., Steven Weber, Barbara Weber, Dianne Weber Young, Mark Weber, and James Bynaker.

He has 12 grandchildren, Georgia, Suzanne, Amanda, Nicole, Jessica, Brittany, Edwin III, Steven Jr., Travis, Carl, Mark, Jr, and Ryan.

He has 12 great grandchildren:  Stori, Nancy, Seth, Vincent III, Nathaniel, Logan, Evan, Frank, Bryce, Kinley, Eli.

Edwin will be buried at Lakemont Memorial Gardens, 900 W. Central Avenue, Davidsonville, MD  21035 following the service at Beall Funeral Home.
