January 12, 1938 — November 14, 2025

Crofton, Maryland

Elizabeth Arlene Wesneski passed away at home on the evening of November 14, 2025 surrounded by those who loved her. Elizabeth, or Arlene, as she was known, was born in 1938 in Scranton, Pennsylvania to James Edward Munley and Elizabeth Arlene Ells. After graduating from Marywood University with a Bachelors in Education, Elizabeth married 1st Lieutenant Carl Anthony Wesneski II, also of Scranton. This began a 28- year tour throughout Europe and the United States as a dedicated and supportive military wife and mother of four children. In 1977, Arlene settled in Crofton, MD together with her husband and children.

Upon the retirement of her husband as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1983, Elizabeth became a teacher's assistant at Van Bokkelen Elementary School, where she worked for 16 years. She enjoyed working with the children and being a part of the school community. She frequently would buy books at the book fair for the school children and her grandchildren. Elizabeth was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton parish since 1977 and participated in yearly events. Arlene was also a longtime summer resident of Lake Carey, Pennsylvania, where she loved picking blueberries and playing Uno with her extended family.

Elizabeth is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Carl Anthony Wesneski II; three sons and one daughter: Carl III, Michael, James and Kathryn Wesneski-Walker; her eight grandchildren, Gigja, Mirra, and Karl Wesneski, Michael and Nicole Wesneski, Lawrence Walker, Dana and Carl IV Wesneski; and her five great grandchildren Charlotte, Harrison and Olivia Wesneski and Silvan and Isadora Reynolds; her siblings James and Edward Munley; and her nieces Danielle Munley, Karen Romanchik-Dwyer, and Joelle Romanchik- Cerpovicz.
