It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Frankie Dell’Erba, age 75; a beautiful son, brother, brother-in-law, friend, and superhero. He passed away on October 23, 2024.
Frank faced life with an unwavering spirit, living as someone with a mental disability that never diminished his love for the world around him. He found joy in special events, like his birthday or Christmas, and in simple pleasures, like his cherished comic book and superhero collection. Frank's enthusiasm for superheroes reflected his own larger-than-life character, and he inspired those around him with his positivity, strength, and compassion.
With his favorite coffee nearby, Frank would immerse himself in the colorful pages of his favorite comics. He laughed and sang Frank Sinatra. He always asked about others and checked in on family. He embraced everyone and everything with an open heart.
Frank is survived by his loving family, who were lucky to have shared their lives with him. Just like Batman and Superman, Frank’s legacy will never fade, and his memory will be carried in the hearts of all who knew him forever. A memorial service will be held at a later date, where we invite friends and family to share in the celebration of his life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to Kennedy Krieger in his name.
