Gladys Faye Place

On Monday, February 6, 2023, Gladys Faye (Sheets) Place went home to be with her Lord and Savior.  She was born on June 24,1931 in Glendale Springs, NC.  She was the loving mother to six children: Steve Place, David Place (Trudy), Allan Place (Johanne), Kevin Place (Gerri Ann),Robert Place (Deanna), and LeaAnne Fowle (Paul); eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her parents Foster and Carrie (Black) Sheets, brother in law John Schaub, and her beloved husband of nearly 61 years, Walter J. Place.

Faye worked for C&P Telephone Company(Verizon) for 20 years in Hunt Valley ,MD.  She attended Hereford Baptist Church in Monkton, MD for 44 years before moving to Crofton, MD.  She taught Sunday School for over 40 years and was involved in various aspects of Hereford Baptist Church.  She also enjoyed, gardening, sewing, and being with family.
