Ingrid Tutas

Ingrid Tutas, 85 of Crofton, Maryland, passed away on March 21, 2026 (00:45) peacefully at home after battling failing health for over a year. She had family with her by her side at the time of her passing.

Ingrid was born in Bochum, Germany in 1940 to parents Erich and Ottila (Otti) Truhel and was raised early, in a very difficult war time environment. Ingrid was an only child and attended University locally, studying Business Administration and Secretarial Studies. For a brief period she worked for the government in a clerical capacity until vacationing in the Canary Islands where she met the love of her life, Edward Tutas and soon immigrated (1965) to the United States where she quickly became a citizen. Ingrid loved being an American and thoroughly enjoyed a life of travel and adventure with her husband. She remained married and devoted until her last breath.

She was preceded in death by her Husband Edward (1995), is survived by son- Christopher Tutas, daughter in-law Melissa Tutas, Grandchildren; Austin Tutas, Ashley Tutas, Ava Tutas, and Alyssa Tutas.

There will be a viewing at Beals Funeral Home, 6512 Crain Hwy, Bowie MD 20715, 301-805-5544 on Monday April 20,2026 11am with Service to follow 12pm. Internment at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery 13:45 (Immediate Family only).
