Jame Jacob DaSilva, 38, of Bronx, NY, passed away on July 31, 2025. He was born on May 2, 1987, in Cheverly, Maryland, to his loving parents , Barbara Foster and Ricardo DaSilva Sr . Jame was a beloved son, father , brother , and friend whose quiet strength and gentle humor left an unforgettable mark on all who knew him. Jame graduated from Crossland High School in Oxon Hill, Maryland, in 2005. Proud and determined, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 2008, serving his country with honor , integrity, and unwavering commitment . Following his military service, Jame built a successful career as a Protective Agent Senior Team Leader. In this role, he exemplified professionalism, vigilance, and leader ship qualities that made him highly respected among colleagues and deeply trusted by those in his care.
His dedication to protecting others reflected the same st rength and loyalty he carried into every par t of his life. Outside of his career , Jame was cherished for his sense of humor and his warm, genuine spirit . His laughter could fill a room and served as a gentle reminder to appreciate life’ s simplest joys . One of his greatest personal joys was his Chocolate Labrador, Anubis, whose loyalty and companionship brought him constant comfort . Though Jame carried himself with quiet strength, he also faced inner challenges that few could see. These private battles ultimately became too heavy to bear, and his passing is a reminder of the importance of compassion, understanding, and the unseen struggles many endure in silence.
Above all, Jame was most proud to be a father . He is survived by his beloved son, Osiris DaSilva, who will carry forward his legacy of strength, love, and integrity. Jame is also survived by his mother, Barbara Foster; father, Ricardo DaSilva Sr.; his brother, Darvell Foster; and his sister, Dasianee “Dee” Gavin. Jame was preceded in death by his oldest brother, Ricardo DaSilva Jr., who passed away in January 2016. Now reunited, their bond continues beyond this life. To his family and friends, Jame will always be remembered for his kindness, his integrity, and the quiet ways he made life brighter . His legacy lives on in the hearts of those he touched—most especially in his son, who will forever be a reflection of his love. “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit .” – Psalm 34:18 .
