James Kanayo Modozie

It is with great sadness that we inform those who haven’t heard that Elder James Kanayo Modozie died suddenly on April 18, 2024.  Beloved husband of Grace Chinelo Modozie, dearest father of Chinonso Udenwani, Amy, Ifeyinwa, and Chinyere Modozie; dear brother of Grace Orjih, Chinwe Nwoye, John and David Modozie; uncle, cousin, and friend; Senior Warden of St. Christopher’s Church and Leader of the City of God Chapel, Maryland, James touched many lives. 

On Friday June 14, 2024, we will celebrate James’ life. Viewing will begin at 9:00 AM with the funeral service at 10:30 AM. at St Christopher’s Episcopal Church, 8001 Annapolis Road., New Carrollton, MD 20784. The Wake-Keeping will begin at 8:00 PM at Ekkonn Conference Center, 7953 Annapolis Road, in the shopping center next to the church. Visitors to the Modozie home are especially welcome on Saturdays and Sundays between 2:00 and 6:00 PM.
