In Loving Memory of Janice Alberta Edmonds

With love and gratitude for a life well lived, we celebrate the life of Janice Alberta Edmonds, 78, of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, who peacefully entered eternal rest on the morning of August 2, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family, including her sons, grandchildren, and daughter-in-law.

Born in Washington, D.C. on February 28, 1948, Janice was the beloved daughter of John Jr. and Roberta Toney, both of whom preceded her in death.

Janice dedicated more than 30 years of service to the federal government, where she built a career marked by hard work, commitment, and integrity. She approached her work with dedication and a strong sense of responsibility, earning the respect of those who worked alongside her.

While Janice valued her career, her greatest joy came from her faith and family. A devoted Christian, she loved the Lord and trusted God throughout every season of her life. Her faith was a source of strength and comfort, and she lived with grace and compassion. Her unwavering faith was reflected in the kindness she showed to others and the love she shared with her family and friends.

Janice also had a creative spirit and especially enjoyed sewing, finding happiness in creating things with her own hands. She appreciated the simple pleasures of life and treasured time spent with those she loved.

Janice was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose family meant so much to her. She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Maurice Edmonds Sr. and Anthony Edmonds; her daughters-in-law, Angelina Edmonds and Victoria Edmonds; her grandchildren, Maurice Edmonds Jr., Daisy Edmonds, Naomi Edmonds, Sydney Edmonds, and Jason Edmonds; her great-grandson, Gabriel; her grandson-in-law, Javier; along with a host of extended family members, dear friends, and loved ones who will forever cherish her memory.

Janice will be remembered for her steadfast faith, loving heart, and devotion to her family. Her love, strength, and presence will remain in the hearts of those who knew her, and the legacy she created will continue through the family she cherished so deeply.

Although she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing that Janice is at peace in the presence of her Lord and Savior. We are grateful for the years, memories, love, and faith she shared with us, and we will carry those gifts with us always.
