Jean W. Cleary

Jean Cleary of Bowie, MD passed peacefully on June 15, 2020.  She was born July 26, 1941 in Washington, DC to the late John E Williams and Mary Anne (Friedrich) Williams. Raised in Cheverly, MD with sisters Patty, Diane, Judy and Karen, she attended St Ambrose and Notre Dame Academy. She met Tim Cleary of Mitchellville, MD and married in 1960.  Thus began a lifelong adventure that led to six children:  Tim (Laura), Colleen Nash (Kevin), David (Marilyn), Kevin (Katherine), Laura and Stacy Baker (Kevin). She loved traveling, sewing, doing arts and crafts, and playing cards (bridge was a favorite).  She looked forward to gatherings with her children and 19 grandchildren, especially at the Outer Banks and Blackwater Falls. An avid gardener, great cook and expert ‘crab picker/eater,’ she enjoyed her many family and friends in the Bowie area. Due to Covid 19, a Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
