Joann Edna Brown

Joann Brown, beloved wife of Berry Brown died on June 19, 2026 after a long illness.  Throughout this debilitating illness, Joann maintained a cheerful optimism and always had a smile.

She had retired in 2009 after a long career as a health insurance claims manager for several insurance companies.  She enjoyed going to University of Maryland football games, cooking, baking and taking long trips to Maine.

Joann was a loving, kind-hearted person who was genuinely interested in others.  She leaves behind her husband of 47 years, Berry Brown and two brothers, James and Joseph Marth.  She is also survived by several nephews and nieces as well as many friends.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, but she is with God now.
