John Ralph Wahl, Sr., 83, of Crofton, Maryland, passed away peacefully at home on December 6, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on July 14, 1942, in Washington, D.C., John lived a life marked by dedication, service, and unwavering devotion to the people he loved.

A proud United States Marine, John carried the values of honor and commitment with him throughout his life. After his military service, he built a respected career as an auto mechanic, known for his skill, work ethic, and willingness to lend a hand to anyone in need.

John is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Brenda Wahl; his children, Kevin Wahl (Julianne) of Parkville, MD; Kristen Ferro (Andrew) of Mechanicsville, MD; and Kim Logue (Craig) of Georgetown, DE; his grandchildren, Aiden, Austen, Adam, Nicholas, Zachary, James, and Melissa. He will be remembered by his family and all who knew him for his kindness, humor, and the quiet strength he brought to every moment.

John was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Katherine and Herman Johns; his brother, Larry Edward Wahl; and his son, John R. Wahl, Jr.

John will be deeply missed and forever cherished in the hearts of those he touched. May he rest in peace.

A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on January 22, 2026, with services beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Beall Funeral Home in Bowie, Maryland. Burial will follow at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, Maryland, where he will be laid to rest with honor.
