Joseph “Joe” Tripolitis, 60, passed peacefully in his home on Sunday, July, 28, 2026, in Baltimore, Maryland.
Joe was born on October 14th, 1965 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was the youngest of two to parents Nina and Verveniotis Tripolitis. His older sister Loula lives in Rhodes, Greece. He has a daughter, Evangelia Tripolitis, that he shared with his ex-wife, Rhoula.
Spending parts of this childhood in Greece and America, he was a proud member of the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Baltimore. He was passionate about sports, playing soccer and basketball and later coaching his daughter’s soccer team to the championship. He loved Greek dancing. Joe graduated from Towson University. He owned restaurants and shared his love for food volunteering at festivals. He was known for his welcoming smile and outgoing personality. Joe was a very proud father. He centralized his life around his daughter and taking care of his mother.
He will be remembered for his bright spirit.
Joe is survived by his daughter Evangelia; sister Argeroula (Manoli); nephews and nieces Michalis (Chrysoula), and Katerina (Christos); and great niece Ioanna. He was preceded in death his mother Nina and father Verveniotis.
His memorial will be held at 11:30AM on Friday, July 31, 2026 following an 11AM visitation at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church. The service will be followed by the cemetery procession and a gathering.
