Kathleen Anne Curtin Crowley, 78, passed away peacefully at her home on July 16, 2026, with her beloved husband of 57 years, Dan Crowley, by her side.

Kathleen is survived by her husband, Dan; her daughter, Cindy Crowley Swahl; her sons, Danny (Kristen) Crowley and Timmy (Amber) Crowley; her grandchildren, Hailey Swahl, Jason Gibson, Kyle Swahl, Cameron Crowley, and Carter Crowley; her brother, Nick Curtin; her sister, Rita Duvall; and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Helen Curtin; her sister, Mary Ellen Gardner; and her nephew, Nicky Curtin.

Born on July 9, 1948, in Washington, D.C., Kathleen graduated from St. Patrick’s Academy and began her career as an executive secretary. She married the love of her life, Dan, on June 7, 1969. In 1971, she welcomed her daughter, Cindy, and wholeheartedly embraced her greatest calling as a loving wife, mother, and homemaker.

Kathleen’s life revolved around her family. She found her greatest joy in caring for those she loved, creating a warm home filled with kindness, compassion, and unwavering support. She especially treasured time spent with her children and grandchildren, celebrating life’s everyday moments and milestones with grace and generosity.

Kathleen will be remembered for her unconditional love, gentle spirit, quiet strength, and selfless devotion to her family. Her legacy lives on in the countless memories she created and in the lives of those who were blessed to know and love her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to The National MS Society or to an organization that supports families and caregivers in Kathleen’s memory.

Cindy’s Tribute

Mom was not only my mother—she was my best friend. She held my hand through every stage of my life, from childhood into adulthood, always offering unconditional love, guidance, and support.

She adored her grandchildren and found tremendous joy in being their grandmother. We never questioned how deeply we were loved because Mom gave her heart so freely and completely.

Thank you, Mom, for your endless love, your unwavering presence, and the beautiful example you set for our family. I will carry you with me always.

Danny’s Tribute

My mom’s life was centered around her family. Everything she did was for Cindy, Timmy, and me. Whether she was driving us to practices and games or supporting Dad in everything he did, she planned each day around the people she loved most.

One of my favorite memories, from childhood through my retirement, was looking into the stands before every game, finding Mom and Dad, sharing a wave, and blowing them a kiss before the game began. It was a simple tradition that meant everything to me.

So, Mom, this is my final wave and kiss to you. Thank you for your unconditional love, your endless sacrifices, and for always being there.

I love you, Momma.

Timmy’s Tribute:

Mom lived her faith every day. As a devoted Catholic, she carried God’s love in her heart and shared it through her compassion, kindness, and the way she treated everyone with dignity and respect.

She loved spending time with family and friends, and her greatest joy was being surrounded by those she loved. Through every challenge and every success, her love for our family never wavered. She was always there, offering unwavering support, encouragement, and unconditional love.

Mom lived a life of grace, faith, and selfless devotion. The example she set and the legacy she leaves behind will continue to inspire us every day. I will forever be grateful to call her my mom.
