West River

Today we celebrate the life of Kerry Lynn Miciotto, a beloved wife, friend, warrior for children, and cherished servant of our community. Kerry was a shining light in the lives of all who knew her, with a heart full of kindness, a spirit full of joy, and a smile that could brighten even the darkest of days. Kerry was born February 11th 1957 to Glenys Sawyer and Sam Miciotto in Louisiana. A true Irish and Sicilian descent.

Kerry lived life with a fervent- passion to protect and serve children who had no voice. She obtained two Master Degrees in Law and Social Services at Louisiana State University and Maryland.  A true LSU Tiger fan. Worked in Social Services for over 30 years this was her life's true calling! Some of Kerry's greatest achievements include involvement in a campaign to Higher the Living Wage in Baltimore in 1994. She also helped establish many Food Pantries in the St. Mary's Community as an advocate for the disenfranchised. Her generosity knew no bounds, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear to those in need. She was a true mentor to many lives!

As we mourn the loss of Kerry, let us also celebrate the incredible legacy she leaves behind. Her compassion, her love, and her unwavering passion to others will continue to inspire us all. Though Kerry may be no longer with us in body, her spirit will live on in the memories we hold dear and in us. Rest in peace, dear Kerry. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
