Leonides Deasis Valle

August 6, 1952 — June 3, 2020

Leonides DeAsis Valle, 67, a resident of Bowie, MD died on June 3, 2020. She is known to everyone as Naidy or Ate Naidy.

Naidy was born on August 6, 1952 in a small town called Lucban, located in the Philippines' province of Quezon to the late Patricio and Felisa DeAsis.  She was an active student from elementary to high school participating in dances, singing & school plays. She was in the Girl Scouts, 4H Club, Lucban Academy Choir, and the Secretary to the high school governing body. She graduated as a valedictorian in Lucban Elementary School and with Honors from Lucban Academy High School. She continued her education earning herself a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in the University of the East in Manila, Philippines.

After a long distance relationship of 6 years, Mario and Naidy decided to tie the knot on December 23, 1978 in the Philippines. When she arrived in the United States in 1979, she worked for Prince George’s Hospital which later came under Dimension Healthcare System. She worked as a Bookkeeper, an Accountant, a Senior Accountant and later as a Budget Analyst. Because of the full knowledge of experience she accumulated thru the different departments through the years, she was always asked to help and train other department personnel.  She worked close to 37 years before retiring in 2016.

Naidy was the President of the Quezonians of the Metropolitan Washington, D.C. group from 1988–1989. The nonprofit organization raised money to award students in Quezon Province with college scholarships. On her free time she loved to garden, sew, and enjoyed baking birthday and wedding cakes with her mother-in-law, Concepcion C. Valle.

On December 23, 2003, Naidy and Mario renewed their vows by celebrating their 25th anniversary in their hometown of Lucban in the Philippines.

Naidy was very sociable and loved to sing. She was always requested to sing during family gatherings, and other social events. Everyone admired her beautiful voice. She was loved by many from family, friends, co-workers and by her children’s friends. Naidy also enjoyed her retirement by traveling often with her husband to different places.

She is survived by her husband, Mario C. Valle and their two children, Mark and Melanie.  She is now reunited in heaven with her eldest son, Leomar who joined our Creator in November 2012.
