Linda M. Hauser

March 27, 1955 — April 26, 2025

Gambrills, MD

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Linda (Virosteck) Hauser, a cherished wife, devoted mother, beloved grandmother, dear sister, and loyal friend. Linda passed away peacefully at her home in Gambrills, Maryland, on April 26, 2025, at the age of 70.

Born on March 27, 1955, in California, Linda embarked on a life rich with creativity and joy. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, a testament to her innate artistic spirit. Her early career at McDonald Douglas as an incident reporter led her to meet the love of her life, Greg Hauser. Their enduring marriage spanned over four decades, a testament to their deep connection and unwavering commitment.

Linda later channeled her creative talents into a successful career as an interior designer. Her passion for art was boundless, expressed through diverse mediums such as stained glass, painting, carving, and doll making. Yet, Linda's greatest masterpiece was her family. She found immense joy in raising her son, David, and daughters, Brittany and Jessica, often remarking that those years were the happiest of her life. Her heart expanded even further with the arrival of her grandchildren, Austin, Alex, Riley, and Violet, in whom she took immense pride.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Marilyn Virosteck, and her brothers, Steven and Brian Virosteck.

Linda will be remembered for her boundless creativity, infectious kindness, and adventurous spirit. She embraced life with an unparalleled zest, evident from her youthful escapades "borrowing" her brother's fast cars and motorcycles, to surprising Greg with spontaneous staycations, and creating cherished memories with her children through games like "hide-and-seek in the dark," puddle hopping, and "button, button, who's got the button?" She shared her love for thrills with her grandchildren, fearlessly riding the fastest rollercoasters alongside them. Linda's optimistic outlook and imaginative mind made everyone around her believe that anything was possible. Her legacy of love, laughter, and art will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
