Louis Lee Grant

Louis L. Grant age 68 of Bowie, MD passed away April 2, 2022 after a long illness.  Husband of Kathryn "Kathy" Grant and the proud Pet Dad of Scooter Grant.  Son of the late Louis C. Grant and Frances Grant-Walters.

Son In Law of the late Cargel E. (Sr.) and Chloe L. Simmons.  Survived by Brother In Law and Sister In Law Cargel E. (Jr.) "Gene" and Patricia Simmons, nephew Raymond E. Simmons and his wife Sarah.  Great Uncle to Anna and Rosie Simmons.  Step Brother of Pamela Mayhew and Penny Mallory.  Survived by other relatives and friends.

Born January 19, 1954 in Fort Belvoir Virginia.  He grew up in Adelphi Maryland and attended High Point High School.  After High School Lou attended Pittsburg Institute of Mortuary Science where he got his degree March 2, 1974.  After graduating, he was a Funeral Director at Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home, former owner Lanham Funeral Home, Fleck Funeral Home, Fort Lincoln Funeral Home, Lee Funeral Home, and for a short time at Beall Funeral Home before retiring because of illness. 

Lou loved travelling with his wife, loved the Outer Banks, riding his Motorcycle, being with his family and friends and his life he shared with his wife for 37 1/2 years.  He was a Licensed Funeral Director for 43 years.  Past member of Bowie Volunteer Fire Department Company 39. 

Visitation will be held Friday, April 8, 2022 from 10:00am to 12:00pm, where the service will be held at 12:00pm noon.  Interment at Hillcrest Cemetery Annapolis, MD.
