Daughter of Gregoria ("Lillie") George Panos and John G. Panos. Dear twin sister of Sophia, and dear sister of Craig John Panos (Elpida) and Stephanie Panos Link (Lawrence). Dear Aunt of Joseph Link and Maria Vanatta. Also survived by many cousins and their children.

Maria graduated from Towson State University. Moving to Los Angeles, she worked for Axis Fashions and later as an Account Executive with Warner Bros. in Burbank. Returning to Baltimore to be near her family, Maria was a technical writer in the healthcare industry.

Funeral prayers and internment at the Greek Orthodox cemetery are private.
