Michael Omar Morgan

Michael Morgan, 69, a longtime resident of Bowie, MD passed away peacefully on Dec. 22, 2022 while in hospice care, after a long and difficult battle with COPD. He is survived by many loving friends and family, including his son Samuel, daughter Sarah, grandsons Kadin, Alexander, and Benjamin, and his brother Matthew. He was preceded in death by his parents Theodore and Eleanore, and grandson Mason.

Mike was retired after a long and proud career with Steamfitters Local 602. An avid reader in his youth, and very much inquisitive by nature, he found great joy in problem solving of all sorts. He very much enjoyed music, held a genuine appreciation for songwriting and was a big fan of the Blues, more specifically the blues guitar.

In keeping with Michael’s wishes, he will be cremated and no formal service will be held. His remains will be laid to rest at St. Barnabas’ Church Cemetery in Upper Marlboro, MD.

His family asks that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to a charity of your choosing, benefiting those suffering from drug and alcohol addiction.
