Michael J. Skurchak

It is with great sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Michael "Mike" J. Skurchak on May 30th, 2023. Mike was born on October 8th, 1950 in Morristown, New Jersey to John and Anne Skurchak. He completed his higher education at St. Ambrose University, University of Iowa, and the University of New Haven, where he earned his Masters in Business.

Mike was a devoted family man who cherished spending time with loved ones and enjoyed the sport of golf in his leisure. He dedicated his career to the field of manufacturing and management, holding impactful positions at 8 O’Clock Coffee, BIC, and International Harvester in Rock Island, IL.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Suzan Skurchak, his children Suzanne Skurchak, Greg Skurchak, and Becky (Tony) Kaskadden, grandchildren Anna Skurchak and Anthony (Danielle) Kaskadden with great granddaughters Natalie and Melanie, and his brother John Skurchak. Along with a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his cherished parents, John and Anne Skurchak, his sister-in-law Jodi Ragland, and his grandson Justin Kaskadden.

Visitation will be held on June 11th from 2-4 pm at Beall Funeral Home in Bowie, Maryland. The funeral service will be held at Runge Funeral Home in Davenport, Iowa, where Mike will be laid to rest at Memorial Park in Davenport, Iowa.

In place of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to support them in their time of sorrow.
