Monica A. DeLucia

Monica De Lucia (née Brady) passed away on May 1, 2022. She was born October 24, 1940 in Bronx, New York. She is predeceased by her parents Richard and Alice Brady, her sister Eileen Reiss and stepson Michael DeLucia, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Michael De Lucia and children Dawn Reynolds (Steve), Lynn Lipsey (Curtis) and Christine Auciello (Daniel) and daughter-in-law Maria Nina De Lucia. She was the proud Mom Mom of 5 grandchildren, Daniel, Jr. (DJ), Christopher, Mikey, Madison and Brady. 
 
In their almost 43 years of marriage, Monica enjoyed many exciting trips with Mike all over the world. Every year brought a new adventure. 
 
In her younger years she was an avid singer and actor in many local community theatre productions. 
 
Monica was a teacher at Crofton Elementary School for over 30 years. She leaves behind many students and teachers that she had cherished relationships with. 
She was an avid reader, still visiting the library weekly and reading the newspaper every day. 
 
She was active in her senior years taking countless trips with her senior groups and Guild for Life 
 
Monica and her husband were devoted members of the Epiphany Catholic community in Annapolis where she also sang in the folk group. 
 
Her greatest joy was being with her family any time she could, especially their annual Beachweek at Bethany Beach, Delaware for the last 25 years. 
 
 In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in her name at the Anne Arundel County Public Library Foundation.
