Nelson Charles Denison

 Mr. Nelson C. Denison, of Bowie, Maryland, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at the age of 84.

Nelson was born on November 21, 1934 in Meriden, CT to Charles and Anna Denison. He attended Cheshire Academy.  He managed the radio station WCMC in his youth and he was a lifelong amateur HAM Radio operator. In 1954, he joined the U.S. Navy. Nelson served for 22 years and then went on to work for the Department of the Navy for 20 years in the area of communications. Also, in 1954 he married Audrey Jane Swain of Meriden. They had 4 daughters, Donna (Kevin), Karen (Mike), Cindy, Alison (Scott).

He is survived by 9 grandchildren; Joseph, Erin, Jinnifer (Christopher), Caitlin (Juan), Nathan, Emily, Richard, Amanda, and Samuel; also 2 great grandsons; Declan and Kaiden. He is prceded in death by his wife, Audrey.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2019 from 2pm to 3pm at Beall Funeral Home, 6510 NW Crain Hwy (Rt 3 South), Bowie, MD followed by a memorial service at 3pm.  All are welcome to attend and celebrate Nelson's life.
